Howdy,

:D This looks like a nice and informative forum to start posting in. I have quite the eclectic background when it comes to all things computer related. I am a self-proclaimed über-geek ;) who started his adventure using a Commodore VIC-20. Soon after that I upgraded to the Commodore 64 and thus began what would become the lifelong pursuit of trying to keep up with technology. :P I do think of myself as a Jack-Of-All-Trades kinda guy, and web page creation definitely falls into that category for me. I look forward to the sharing of knowledge as we use this great software to contribute our little part on the world wide web. God Bless,

Hi, I've just begun hanging around the forums. I've used CC HTML Editor for years, built and maintain several of my own and two writers groups websites with it. When I first started learning HTML and building websites I used a program developed in Australia which is very good for beginners. It was free, not sure if it still is, and I thought nothing could top it. Hey, I was a newbie to website design! Then I decided to download the trial version of CC HTML Editor and I was hooked. I have several CC programs and plan to buy more. I think Coffee Cup is a company in a class by itself, maybe because they enjoy their work so much? At least it seems they do!
('years' is only in my post once, not twice, but when I take it out and preview it's not there at all)

Welcome Sylvia and BinaryMan and anyone else that has joined up during the past week or so.

Not sure what you mean Sylvia on the "years" thing. I only see it in the first sentence of your post where it says:

I've used CC HTML Editor for years, built .....

Am I missing the point totally? or did your browser maybe glitch on you when posting, which does happen at times hehe.

Not sure if it's me or the forums, but this post above I just made was really really really slow to add, so maybe it's just the CC server burping on us lol.

Hello,

My name is Cathal. I am a computer technician and biologist and I am living in Ireland. I'm prety new to the web design game and have used Dreamweaver to design my own site (techsmart.ie). I have also done a (very rough) site for my fathers garage (obrienautobody.com) using WordPress. I hope to drastically increase the visual and technical appeal of both of these sites by reverting to a bit of hand coding and optimisation.

I have read through the CoffeeCup forums and decided that Coffee Cup is the editor for me. This is mostly due be the fact that it has been around for ages (I think I used in 1998 - is that possible?) and also the large community that exists to support it. I am a community support and forums type of guy so I look forward to working on my sites and sharing (and requesting) some good information with you guys as I go.

Welcom to this lot, Cathal! CoffeeCup software was founded in 1996, so you may well have seen an early version of the HTML Editor. It has come a long way since then, though :)

I can vouch for these forums, they are very helpful and friendly, and some of us never sleep... ;)

Hi,
I am Carolyn and was referred to Coffee Cup by a friend who has used it for years. It was hard going to the Html Editor when I was used to WYSIWYG. I did not want to go back to a visual designer, so I am learning a new language which is supposed to keep my brain young. I have asked two questions to the tech support and I have had very quick replies. I have never had such great support. I will try the forums first for future questions and ask tech support if needed. Thanks for making it easier to design websites.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
