Hello All,

Just want to introduce myself. I'm Larry Stoller from Hilton Head Island, SC. I'm pretty new to this technology stuff, but I'm happy that I was able to build a website using Visual Site Designer (with some valuable telephone support). I used the Yahoo Sitebuilder tool before but wanted more functionality so I gave VSD a shot. There were (and are) problems with ftp'ing to Yahoo where my domain resides, so I decided to go the S-Drive route. That seems to be working. Maybe I don't even need to worry about the ftp process. But with some of the advice in this forum, I'm sure I'll give it another try down the road.

I hope to learn a lot from this forum, and hopefully as I gain more confidence, be able to contribute as well. But like I said, a lot of stuff is new to me. Why I even tried to add my photo to my profile, but I received a message about "avatar pixels not being the right size". So I'll have to research that a bit. Maybe in a day or two, I'll be able to include a photo and share some more information about me and why I'm messing around with websites and why I'm trying to become more Internet saavy.

Larry

Hey all,

I am Adam from North Carolina. I am very new to creating websites. I am currently educating myself on this technology. I have two projects that I am currently working on. The first is to help make an existing website more functional and professional looking. This site was started by someone else on a hosting site I am not thrilled about :( and who has a limited site editor. The second is to create a new website from scratch (using CC HTML Editor :D and replace the before mentioned site, plus have it on different hosting site. My goal is to have the second site fully operational by the end of the year. But I have decided to take my time, learn the code, and make sure it is completely functional before launching it. So far, this has been a huge learning curve for me, but I have enjoyed every minute of it (even the tons of reading about code).

Traditionally, I do not post a lot of comments in forums. I tend to primarily read entries, and chime in once in a while. So I plan to read many of your posts, but don’t expect to see very many from me. But, rest assured, I will throw out a question if I do not understand something. I am looking forward to learning from all of you. ;)

Hi Adam, welcome to the forum - it's by far the best forum I've ever logged onto, VERY helpful people (and some of those include actual CC staff members!). Hardly any trolling or flaming either.

IMO there's nothing like the satisfaction of hand-coding a site from scratch and CC HTML Editor is an excellent tool for doing just that.

Hello! My name is Tal and I am a greco wrestler at the Olympic Training Center. Besides wrestling, I love the outdoors- hiking, fly fishing, skiing, boating, and such. I recently purchased Visual Site Designer and Photo Gallery and love it! I am trying to put together a new website for my family's small business; a metal fabrication companyhttp://www.knoxdesignandfabrication.com. With any luck it will look much nicer than the existing site! I love how user friendly this software is, looking forward to creating something cool with it. Wish me luck!!

Feather Your Nest....helping someone set up their website...don't know much about what I am doing but have to do so in a hurry....just wondering if we have the software on one machine and I transfer it to another one....do I have to save and transfer any changes to each computer that I use?

Has anyone done this successfully? What are the issues?

Thanks...sorry...no time for intro right now :)

Jennifer your allowed to use the software on up to 3 machines for your own use. As far as saving the website save it to a flash drive then take that with you to each pc. You'll have to have the website design software installed on each machine but the website files can reside on the flash drive.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Greetings Cowboys!! (and Cowgirls!)

I'm posting here - under Mike of Mikes Off Road b/c my account won't let me post. Perhaps b/c i'm simply a user, not one who has purchased the software. Anyway - I recently took a position at Mike's company to work with their website and the tools provided are Coffee Cup tools. Seem pretty friendly. But, as it happens, I do have some questions. (We'll get to those later.)

I've done web dev & design for a while and hope to take Mike's site to the next next next neeeeeext level. I'm anxious, he's jazzed so hopefully together and with the support of the great crew i'm finding here we will be able to deliver.

My name's John - i like, movie, music, pirates, puppies, cats, cake and cotton candy. Friends and family sometimes - when they're sleeping usually. :D

Anyway - i hope to help as much as i ask and welcome any comments, feedback and ideas. Wish me luck, and I'll see ya around.

Hiya John,

It's indeed that you are not the software owner that stops you from using a guest type account to post outside of the open forum. Glad to see you have access via the owner though and welcome to the forums and CC software. I'm sure you'll find the support here top notch and just keep in mind that most of the people that answer questions here are users just like you so be patient with us :P

Hope you find the tools here as useful as the rest of us do, enjoy and happy editing :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
