This is an intermittent problem that I encounter. When typing text in, it appears on the screen in a jerky manner, lagging behind even normal speed typing. Similarly, scrolling down the page is also jerky and slow in the same way.

I am using Windows 11.

And which CoffeeCup program are you using? I guess you are not reporting a Windows problem here?

I am also experiencing this (in fact sometimes it just stops working all together and a save/restart is needed, works fine for about 10 mins then another ground hog day !!) SD latest version.

PS it started (or should I say it got worse) a couple of days ago

Well, the version of SD has been the same since spring, so I can hardly think that something has happened to it now. I don't have the same problem, SD gets slower after hours of working, but It has never halted completely on me. And as you say, a reboot of it, or of the machine itself usually works well.

Regardless of the temporary fix by re-booting, which isn't a cure for the issue in my book, SD is the only app that this and the lagging has, which gets worse by the hour until it gets to a point where it has to be a close down, reboot and load again. Other applications Photoshop, Word,Excel, Web Form Builder Email designer trot along just fine for hours.

Having suffered the same effects within SD for some months (and reported it a number of times to no avail) I happened accros a post about the Web Form builder failing load, and the solution suggested by Adrian (hi Adrian) to update/reload the latest . net thingy

I figured, what the heck, nothing to lose, so I went ahead and did it.
Blooming EK so far so good, SD has been behaving itself again and working as sweet as apple pie for well over an hour (normally almost at a standstill by now)

CAVIAT
It maybe too soon to be 100% positive but if it continues to be good I will update this post here,, and I made a complete back up of my windows/files before downloading/installing the .net updated version. If you are experiencing the same, try it but at your own risk. So far though it works for me.

UPDATE
Well here we are a full 12 hours into the project (a 10 min mandatory break every hour) SD performed great up until this last session, when it started lagging again (text editor completely unresponsive for a good 15 seconds for every action to complete (which feels like a long time) so maybe back to the drawing board, BUT I have to say, it is a marked improvement over this past year, where the average time before the lagging etc starts was around 4 hours.

In the meanwhile Photoshop / Excell/Word still going strong no problems (ecept slow internet connection)

Hope one day they find a solution until then living in hope
