Hiya Lisa,
This would depend greatly on what type of setup you're using. If you're using a fixed sized site setup then it would stand to reason that it would not do so. Using HTML and CSS you can pretty much make your site go as long as you want it to. I'm not sure how Visual Site Designer handles page length so I can't answer your question on that program.
Most of this will just depend on how you plan to build your site, what program(s) you intend to use, whether or not you're using a good HTML/CSS theme setup and so on.
In most cases the answer to your question will be yes, you can continue it for as long as you want to, as long as you use the right tools for the job

ok, im just using the VSD, it was a template, although ive stripped it basically and put my own stuff on, i guess that means its probably a fixed size then??
thank you
thank you
hmm not sure then, hopefully a VSD person will chime in here and let us know the answer to that. What theme did you base it on so they can better help you with it?
it was the one about recipes
although i mite as well start with a blank page really as i took everything off and made all my own boxes. maybe that would help with the page size?
In VSD you set a page length. If your page background is a solid color, just change the length for that particular page and choose a solid color fill. You could also use an Iframe or scrolling div to allow some content to be scrolled without changing the page length. There are several threads about how to add iframes and divs to a VSD site (use the search bar), if you want to give that a try.

ok thank you, where do i fint the page length setting please?
In VSD have the page you want to lengthen in the design window. Now at the top of VSD click on "Page". A page properties window will open up on the right. Look on there for the height setting.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
