Backing up or Moving Editor Settings to a New Computer
Here is how you would back up or move the HTML Editor settings to a new computer:
MAIN SETTINGS
Open Windows Explorer to the following folder:
AppData%\CoffeeCup Software\
You can do this via the run dialog (WinKey+R) or by pasting the path into the Windows Explorer address bar (not Internet Explorer).
The %AppData%\CoffeeCup Software\ folder will translate to:
C:\Users\[YOUR-USER-NAME]\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\
for example:
C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\
In this folder you'll find the "CoffeeCup HTML Editor" folder. This is where most of the Editors settings are located.
The "Settings" folder will contain most of your settings. The "Markup" folder will contain any changes to the Tags markup. These can both be copied to the new computer after the Editor is installed there.
PROJECTS
Backup all of the files in the documents folder: (Projects, Library Items, etc)
C:\Users\[YOUR-USER-NAME]\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\HTML Editor\
You may want to backup any folders that contain your websites also.
FTP PROFILES
Next, run the RegEdit.exe from the Windows Run Dialog: (WinKey+R)
Find the following Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CoffeeCup Software\
Right Click on this key and select "Export" from the context menu or from the File->Export menu.
Save this file as "CC-Settings.reg" or something else ending in *.reg
Once you have the new machine up and going and the Editor installed, double click this file to import the settings.
