When opening the program, you are presented with the Image Mapper Wizard, which asks whether you would like to start a new image map, or open an existing one.
The wizard will walk you through several steps to open a new image or an existing image map.
How do I turn the Wizard off?
If you no longer wish to use the wizard at program start, you can uncheck the "Show Wizard each time CoffeeCup Image Mapper Starts" checkbox. If you change your mind later, this option can be enabled again under the Tools > Options.
Now that we understand how the wizard works let’s get started creating our very own image map!
Step 1:
Choose Create a New Image Map and click Next.
Step 2:
Now, select the image file you want to use for your image map by using the Browse button to navigate to it. Once you have selected the file, click Next.
Step 3:
The Map Name field will be prefilled with the image name, but you can adjust it as you see fit. Then, if you wish the image to have a link applied to the entire image, provide the URL in the Default URL option.
Once you have entered all the options, click Finish.
How to open an existing Image Map
To open an existing image map, you can use the wizard, or by using File > Open.
