Follow these three steps to upload your files to your server:
Step 1:
Once you are connected to your server, navigate to the folder where you want to store your files. You can do this by double-clicking the folders in the Remote pane, just as you would in Windows. The current folder is displayed in the field at the top of the Remote pane.
Keep in mind that many servers have a specific folder where you should upload your pages. Common names for this folder are www, web, public_html, and httpdocs. If you are unsure of the name of this folder on your server, or if you don't know whether you need to use this folder at all, contact your hosting provider.
Step 2:
Find the file(s) you wish to upload. You can navigate through the folders in the Local pane just as you do in Windows. When you find the file(s) you want to upload, highlight them with your mouse.
Step 3:
Click the Upload button in the Toolbar. This uploads the highlighted files in the Local pane to the current folder open in the Remote pane.
