I'm not seeing the text for labels. Checking the HTML, it appears that BS applies the class ".label" to labels. Using the inspector and drilling down the styles, it looks like the .label class has a white (#FFFFFF) color applied to it. In the end, it's no big deal. I can just override the class. But it's not default Bootstrap behavior to apply a class to labels.
