OK, I see were I was (I think) making my mistake. I am old school and when ever I modify a document and want to save it as well as the old doc, I would always use the Save As command. With VSD, once I have my main page saved in it special floger, any new pages that I create I just use the Save feature, Correct?
Yes Jack I would use the save feature that way you don't have a million copies of the same website at different stages.
Usually once I complete my website and later on down the road a client wants to make a few major changes, then I will do a save as. That way if he changes his mind halfway through the project I can just re-publish his old site before the changes were made.
Having too many backups can also be a pain if not managed properly.

It now seems to be working properly, with the exception that I did at one time get the message that I could not save the file and twice I got a time out error and it closed the program, but I know that has to be on my system. I need to either uninstall the program and then reload it, and if that does not help, then it may be an issue with Windows 8. I know that there is Windows 8.1 available and my system tells be that ever few days, but I have not been able to install it. Every time I try, I am told I need Administrators rights to install it and I have no idea how I can get administrators rights.
But thanks for all your help both you and Steve.

There has to be an issue with my PC I went to the user account and it shows that I am listed as the Administrator. That is how it was setup originally, but for some reason when I try and install the Windows 8.1 update it says I need Administrator rights. I guess I need to contact Dell Tech Support which I hate to do.
Yea unfortunately you will have to get someone to look at it Jack. I think once thats resolved so will your other issues.
