How do I insert a code generated in VSD menu builder into Frontpage? I need to insert the HTML code "into" a large area that contains color. For instance I made a colored background and want to insert the menu code from flash menu builder "into" the colored background of the rectangle. Is this possible? Here is the code from Frontpage:

<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us">
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<link rel="File-List" href="DIRECT%20EXCHANGE%20FRONTPAGE%20TEMPLATE_files/filelist.xml">
<title>New Page 1</title>
<!--[if !mso]>

o\:* { behavior: url(#default#VML) }
.shape { behavior: url(#default#VML) }
</style>
<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>
<xml><o:shapedefaults v:ext="edit" spidmax="1027"/>
</xml><![endif]-->
</head>

<body>

<div style="width: 1031; height: 113; background-color: #3333CC">

</v:textbox>
</v:rect><![endif]--><![if !vml]><span style='mso-ignore:vglayout;position:

src="DIRECT%20EXCHANGE%20FRONTPAGE%20TEMPLATE_files/image001.gif" v:shapes="_x0000_s1025"></span><![endif]></p>

</body>

</html>

I have no idea what it means! So please don't be too technical.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone might have...

The html code for our software uses a relative file path to reference the files which means that they must be in the same location that the page is in to be called upon. To correct this you will need to first open your project in the Coffeecup application, then re-save it into the same directory on your computer that the html files are saved to for the page it is being displayed on. Once you have done so you should be able to preview your work just fine. Once you have completed this, you will need to upload all of the files and folders in the same order on your server.

There is also a video that you may want to take a look at here ( Flash Menu Builder: http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/operez/FP/addmenutoFP.mov
).

If you are still having problems please let us know.

Thank you,

Hey Orlando, I tried to follow that link that you gave me but it didn't work. It prompted me to save so I did but when I tried to open it, it gave some wierd message that Windows can not open the file because Windows doesn't know what file created it. Anyway I am still trying to figure out how to insert the menu into the colored portion of the square. ALso one main problem I have is that I save things on my external drive (I recently lost my whole hard drive) but when I go to save flash or any of the Coffee Cup files it automatically saves it on the C: drive.

So are you saying that I need to save EVERYTHING that I am creating for the website on the C: drive? I would like for the HTML code to come up and be on my external drive but I don't know how to do this.

Thanks for the response and for anymore information that you may have,

Kris

Hi Kris,

The link to the video that Orlando gave was in apple quicktime format and you have to download that player to see it. You may want to google some tutorials on how to save files. As for the problem you are having with your webpage, I recommend trying visual site designer. The name really says it all. It allows you to design a webpage visually and insert objects(like your flash menu) where ever you want them to go. Good parts of VSD:

1) Doesnt cost a arm and a leg.
2) Cool Support
3) (My favorite) You can make a cool site without knowing any html(sometimes a little helps).

I am not trying to sell this stuff, but I use it and if you click on links from many who post on here, you will see some smokin' sites made with VSD....
