Using VSD Version 5.9.4
Using vnu files created with an earlier version (I forget which version).

I moved picture files to a different directory, so the file paths in the vnu file no longer point to the picture files. I tried changing the paths in the vnu file (with a text editor, emacs), but then VSD refused to read the file.

Is there a way to change the vnu file's pointers to files?
Is there a way to find out where the vnu file thinks external files are?

Regards,
Robert

This is an excellent question. I have had the same question but never posted it. Please help.

well it's been my experience that you will have to find each image that VSD asks for when you get this error. Chaging the vnu is not the way to go about it, you may be able to go back to the way the structure was before you moved the images folder, to be safe I would just suck it up so to speak and take the time to find each image, hope I explained how I fixed it for me.

I appreciate the response. I had hoped there was an easier way to find the link.

Thanks

when you upgraded to 5.9.4 and if it can't find the certain images , isn't it easier just to point to where you moved the images to rather then trying to find links? the .vnu is a template of the site you made only, so it wouldn't have helped, but maybe pointing to one image will make the others fall in place. One could hope. I know it sucks when you have tons of images it can't find

The brute force method is just too much work. I'm tired already.

I suppose having binary vnu files, instead of person-readable files, makes business sense, to thwart reverse-engineering. But it sure is a nuisance when it comes to making bulk changes.

Bob
