New PC, old site - Post ID 220479

Long story short...
Had a motherboard die on the PC that had my two VSD websites on. Forced to purchase a new PC with windows 8.1 (yech).
I have the old hard drive running via a usb cable connected to the new PC, what I'm wondering is if anybody here can point me to where my old upload settings for my websites would most likely be found?
I've installed VSD on the new PC and would like to (no, not really) start rebuilding the sites.
Thanks if you can assist! - Boyd

Did you try opening the old vnu on the drive?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I did Eric, but without success.
I can see some of the layout of the homepage but there are elements and photos missing.
The upload info is not showing either.
I just thought that there might be some sort of bin file where that kind of data was stored; thought it might be less painful to get the settings that way than by having to deal with my different website hosts.

Not sure if it is the same for VSD as for other CC programmes, but check you c drive, users, your user name, app data, roaming and see if you have a file called SharedSettings.ccs. This is the place where ftp details are normally stored.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Thanks again Inger; found the file you suggested but I opened it and it just displays a bunch of code.
...just wondering if I can get to the control panel on my web host, is it even possible to download my site onto the new PC?
