I love using this program and are near completion of my 1st site...but! I'm not happy with how it loads....seems very slow and chunky? I have made sure I downsized all my images... am I missing something? I have worked with flash templates in the past so are used to the way they load i guess? Is it possible to have a loading bar as the 1st page like other flash sites so it is a smooth transition?

Can you post a link to your website? What I bet is happening is you have added a lot of images and they are probably not web optimized so the file sizes are pretty large. That would cause the slowness you are seeing.

To add on what Scott is saying,..., if you have a lot of images on ANY website platform, page load becomes a major factor,..don't know that it applies to your website though....

Sometimes host server performance is an issue. And so is your ISP routing.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

I cant wait to start designing my first website. There are so many great examples on here. I bought VSD a couple of months ago, and Flash starter a few years ago - but I havent done anything with them yet. Looking at these examples are encouraging me to move forward with building sites.

Please be gentle. I bought VSD a few days ago and spent all day today on my first site. I didn't do much with it as I was just trying out the various options. I used VSD, ccForm, ccVideo, ccJukebox, and S-Drive. I also used several programs I had sitting on my laptop from BC (Before CoffeeCup). I'm not sure I like the dark colors but I'd appreciate any other comments on the various pages. I really like the ease of use of the CC software. VSD is a little nutty since everytime I change anything in the design I have to shut down VSD then bring it back up before publishing the site. Otherwise the swf flash files don't seem to upload right and I get a load error on the site. Shutting down VSD and reloading it before publishing works fine. Don't understand why though. Also can't seem to get the built in FTP to work in VSD. Tried to use it to publish to another site and it locked up every time. Had to use FileZilla. Anyway, let me know what you all think. I really am excited to be getting into designing my own web page.

Well this is my first attempt www.weebagband.co.uk but I fear we play music better than we design web sites...

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
