Some people have issues with Flash when the last update came down. Try this:

1.http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
2. Reboot
3. Go to www.adobe.com and re-install Flash.

Hi Peter, That took my breath away. That is so scary. What if I lose everything. I did upload with Filezilla and maybe therein lies the problem. I had tried it with the coffeecup direct FTP, but it kept shutting down. Everything works correctly in preview so it must be something in the upload. Wish I were smarter about websites and all this stuff. I must think on this overnight and face a new bright day tomorrow. Maybe I will have the sense to delete the site and reupload. Thank you for the suggestion and your help. Sarah

Thanks Scott. Yes, I tried that and still it doesn't work. Someone suggested thar perhaps I need more memory in my computer, although I now have 1 gig. Maybe I've got too much junk on my computer, too many programs, files, etc. Everyone else seems to view and hear it fine, so it must be my computer, well, just another exciting learning experience to conquer. Thank you for all your help. Sarah

I would just format then and start over. Probably quicker to do that.

Sarah:

If you did an upload using Filezilla then I think VSD is getting confused since some file(names) may be out of sync - VSD would be working based on its "catalog" built from the last upload, which Filezilla would not have updated.

If you can upload without any errors using Filezilla, I do not think you would/could anything. One way to "test" is to create a new folder ON THE WEBSITE (ie at your ISP), use Filezilla to upload ALL your files. If you get no errors, then you're good. As a backup measure, you can copy your existing files on the website to a separate folder (also on the website), before you upload the new set.

You can also check with your ISP's helpdesk to see what their backup policy is. Most good ones will do a daily backup of your files and can restore them for you in a pinch.

Just something to ponder.

Hello Bruce,
The same thing has been happening to me. I've been on the phone with CoffeeCup. There is a bug. A new version will be available with the fix on Monday 4-21-08, so I was told.

The issue you are describing or that we are fixing has to do with opening a vnu from a thumb-drive. There are no changes to the ftp. The fix now for the thumb-drive is to just copy the vnu to your desktop.

The ftp control has really never changed since the 3.0 version.

With the fresh install, what other applications did you install first? A fresh install will have no firewall or anti-virus applications.
