I searched the forum and could only find one post in the Archives, http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/topic-archives/where-when/338, that addressed what I want to do. When I fill in my values as the example gave the subject is still empty. The example given was:

someone@somewhere.com?subjectyouwant

Which interpreted to mean:

myemailname@mymailserver.com?mysubject

However in Outlook Express I only get the name pre-filled, but nothing is filled in for the subject line.

TIA, for your time any help with this.

Mike

FYI: I did discover that if you fill in the address like this:

YourInitial. LastName <emailname@emailserver.com>

You will get the following in the To line:

YourInitial. LastName

Seems to work fine for me (tesed in Outlook 2007). When creating the link, I put this in the Email: field as a test:
email@coffeecup.com?subject=I love your site!
Make sure the = sign is in between the word Subject & what you want to appear.

An alternative would be to use the HTML tool and paste in the code you want for the link:
<a href="Mailto:you@example.com?subject=I love your site!">email me</a>

Adam thank you for the solution. The example did not include/show "...?subject=...". When I included that, the compose new email window opened formatted as expected.

Again, thank you very much.
