the links and words all show but there are no "button" images - I think I am putting the files in the wrong place but ive tried every combo I can think of and this is the closest I can get.

You did not upload any of these files Eric:

I see some problems with the html also. There's an extra " at the end in 3 of the ul's. Did you alter that or did the menu builder generate that?
<ul class="flyout submenu_menu_2 submenus" id="submenu_menu_2" ">

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

No, I did not add anything at all just copy from the clip board. I have attached the files to my vsd for upload but I will verify tonight with a FTP transfer.
Will the menu work in a preview in vsd or only after upload?
Thanks for the help.

To get the menu to work on your local machine you need to add the files to your VSD website using the "Add Files" tool or you could use absolute link references in the code so it would preview after you have uploaded it to your host.

There is a lot more you need to do there.

I have done - I copied into my header - I tried the header from the file list and the header from the add html - added code uploaded the files and none of the buttons show up. I am obviously missing something.
okay, I finally got my menu to display - I had to copy the main file (nav menu) and the sub folders - style sheets and js if I remove any of those 3 files from the main level the menu will not work. now it works but my buttons are all much smaller then the preview window in my menu builder
