What would be the pitfalls of creating a "website" for each page of my site, instead of one site with "add" pages? I've created a "welcome page" as a website, then created a second website with the name of "information page"..and had planned to "link" those two and subsequent(website) pages for the "first website" to continuosly flow. Hope this is making sense, lol.

Or should I have just one website, utilizing the "add a page", each with different info as pages 2, 3, 4 etc?

I'm not understanding on how/what to name and save each of the pages after the intial "welcome" page in order for it to flow. Each time I try to save them as individual pages and go back to them? They all show the same pictures as the "welcome" page! I'm either not saving them correctly or naming them correctly.

For the last 8yrs I've used EasyDesigner an AOL visual builder. With that program it just asked me to save "new" pages with a name & html ext, hit save and walah! up and running. I'm trying to learn VSD with "under the gun" emotions. AOL informed us recently that as of Oct. 30th our free websites/hosting will be ending, which leaves many of us greatly disadvantaged. Not even offering us the ability to purchase Easy Designer or further help, other than a recommendation of "downloading" our site info to our drives (which I have done).

Images/html codes saved in a folder on my drive, but alot of good that does me....it's like reading greek and I have no idea what to do with them....so trying to work the VSD to create my site.

The plan..re-create the site/pages, put into html editor and convert the pages, then upload said pages with FTP to my host site? is this correct? I bought the CoffeeCup programs for each of these.Ugh....so much to learn and do by the 30th.

Sorry this has become so lengthy and thanks for reading this far. But after fooling/stumbling around for the last two days on my own? I can't afford to waste anymore time and need help!!! lol Thanks for your time and patience.

Hi,

The front page of your site will always be named index.html and the cool part of VSD is if you use the link button, it will link the front page to any other pages. In your example, you might have a welcome page with one link to the main page with the menu(you can call this page anything as with all the other non-front pages)and will show up in the links when you click the link button, then link to all the other pages.

rob....thanks for the info and response. I'm still dinking around and practicing, so eventually I will get it I think. lol

Thanks so much to Bruce for all your behind the scenes advice/help too!

I don't like when I post that my email is my name, must have set this up incorrectly..went to my profile page and entered a new name, so this post will be a test to see if it quits displaying my email.

Ah hah! it worked...Thanks again, Bruce.
