I use the CoffeeCup Direct FTP app exclusively to maintain my sites, but I can't seem to get a folder or its contents deleted. The FTP app performs the delete when I ask it to, but the folder remains. I have tried deleting the files within the folder and that appears to work until I Refresh the display and the folder, subfolders and files remain.
The folder in question is one that I uploaded unintentionally. Its contents are not actually used.
Can someone point me toward an explanation?
I have all the powers associated with the site, by the way.

Do you have any hidden files or folders within that folder you want to delete? To find out, go to the View Menu > Show Hidden Files.

Has the site your trying to delete from been switched from http to https?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
