I'm trying to connect to my GoDaddy account with the free FTP to upload my website but it keeps saying that it is having issues connecting. I've tried Passive Mode but it still isn't working. Any other tips?

I recently found that some of GoDaddy's data centers have a connectivity issue that is not their fault. The major backbone that supplies that area has an issue. What's a little strange is that web browsing works fine. It only seems to affect FTP.

Call GoDaddy tech support and let them walk you through using your terminal app to do a trace route. You might find that one of the hops between you and the server is not communicating properly.

If this turns out to be the case for you, the workaround is to use a VPN. It will route you into the server a different way.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.
