I'm using your great Free FTP tool and have it set to "check for updates". My version says "4.5, build 2022. "
When I go to CC website and retrieve latest version , 6.9...I download and install it with no errors.
Yet, my Free FTP "about" modal info popup window still says 4.5, build 2022.??
Everything works fine...just curious.

The 6.9 version is not the Free FTP, it is the paid one. Check if you have a programme called DFTP (Direct FTP). That should be the one you have downloaded.
I don't think the Free FTP has had any updates for quite some time.

Hi,
Thanks for clarifying...I guess that my "free" version is suggestion to me to download the "paid" version...which is fine (marketing).
Since the Free version does all that I need, I'll stick with that.

Thanks Inger. I have downloaded and have been using Filezilla but am not comfortable with it as yet. I've used WSFTP-PRO for so many years on my PC so making the switch to a Mac has not been easy. I saw Direct FTP and it looks like the user interface is much the same as WSFTP-Pro. I just have to get used to Filezilla and get over the loss of WSFTP. Thanks for your note. I appreciate the time you take to help out here at Coffee Cup.
