You an do that now. All you need to do is copy this file:

If you are using Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\SharedSettings.ccs

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\SharedSettings.ccs

Yes I know, but if your HD is crashed....gone is the data. So a simpel menu-option to save it in a simpel file would be much easier...

When downloading files from server to local drive, I would like to see a feature that asks if you want to re-download a file that is already in the destination folder on you local drive in stead of downloading it again.

It would be very helpful if the latest versions could have the build number included in the filename. There are no doubt reasons beyond my understanding that argue for leaving each download called the same thing, but it is confusing, especially is one wants to revert to an earlier build. This means we either have to rename it ourselves each time we download it (which I currently do anyway) or download it into a different directory to avoid overwriting the original/previous build files.

I don't think it would be too difficult or confusing to punters if you were to name it something like:

CoffeeFTP6.7R1767.exe

Just my two cents

I would have to agree with this, I'd love to see the build number in the file name, but even more important I'd love to see the build number on the site for each program so we can at least look at that and compare to our currently installed version to see either how far behind we are or if we already have installed that one. Having it in the file name would indeed be helpful as well :)

I would like to see an automatic updater built into all the programs. Just click yes when prompted and be done with it. :)

We do not have an "automated" updater yet, but we do have a new "Check for Updates". This will tell you what is new to the program and a 1 click download to get the update.

I would like to see cut, copy, and paste when you right click the editor. I think this is needed in my opinion. I would also like to see an external editor since my netbook has a small screen.

One thing i've noticed is that everytime there is an upgrade to FTP it uninstalls then reinstalls the new version which in itself is not a problem, but it also erases all your previous ftp settings. I normally ftp to several different accounts and would like to see it retain all my ftp settings so i don't have to set them all up again every time there's an update.

That should not happen at all John. Your FTP server settings are stored in another location and will remain unaffected when you do an uninstall. If this is happening, then something definitely is going wrong. I would suggest opening a support ticket.

Love the DFTP program. I did notice that when I double click a local file it does not upload (nothing happens) and when I double click a file on the server, it opens it in the editor (which this editor rocks)

I would like to see the ability to use a double click to transfer a single file and maybe a double click option choice such as transfer or edit that can be chosen under preferences.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
