I have correct host IP,username & password. Have direct ftp with no s drive. Is it possable I don,t have the correct files put on my ftp. I,m using all the files saved after putting togeather my coffee cup shopping cart website. If the files saved to my PC after exiting my CCSC are not the correct ones, where can i find correct files? My godaddy host says everything is OK on their end & advised me to use Filezilla FTP. I wanted to use the CC direct FTP as they have a page editor built into it. below is the error message i,ve been getting.
Server denied you to change to the given directory.

I use GoDaddy and DirectFTP all the time. Works great. I think you have something amis in your FTP settings.
In your server setup...
Nickname: anythingyouwant
Server: yourdomain.com
Username: your GoDaddy FTP username (not the name you use to sign in to your GoDaddy account)
Password: your GoDaddy FTP password (not the password you sign into your GoDaddy account with)
check passive mode
Under the 'more options' tag...
Protocol: FTP
Port: 21
Connections: 1
Remote Folder: blank (if you want to upload to a subdir on your server, enter it here. ie: \shop )
Do you have SSL on your server? If so then Protocol may need to be FTPS
The biggest error users have is not having the correct username/password. The second biggest is not creating the subdir they want to upload to first. Usually leave Remote folder blank and log onto the server. Then create the subdir.
Let me know if this helps any.

Since you are asking this question in the Direct FTP thread, the answer is no, DFTP has not been made available for Mac.
You can take a look at these FTP clients: Transmit, Filezilla or Cyberduck.

Error 500 is sometimes an 'Invalid Port Command'. Make sure your port is set to 21, and transfer mode 'passive' is checked. If this is not the problem then I'm at a loss but will keep thinking on it.
