Activating Web Site from HTML Editor...
Hi - I'm trying to activate my web site from the index.html file in the editor. I choose the option to sync with S-Drive from the MyWebsites drop menu. I choose my new domain name and it tells me my files have been uploaded and my web site is now online. However, when I choose to view it I am taken to a big message screen from CoffeeCup that says "There is nothing here yet:. It has a person looking intl a mail box. It tells me to go to Control Panel to learn more. I go to Control Panel and my domain is listed with one file (france river cruise.cpf. I don't know where to go from here. Could someone please help me?
Thanks

If this was the first time you entered Sync with S-drive, you first have to set up the connection. Then you go in once more to perform the actual syncing. After that, your site should be showing, but if not, maybe you need to clear the cache and reload the page. If it is still not showing, you could check in your browser if the files are there. Open the Coffeecup site and choose Services -> Your sites.
If you have more sites than just the one, make sure you have uploaded to the correct one.

Thank you again Inger. I don't know what's wrong. After I received your message I checked and I hadn't listed all my files in the project file hierarchy in the My Websites panel. I corrected that, then did the S-Drive Sync as described in the User Guide. I watched as all the files were transferred from the HTML editor to S-Drive. When the transfers were done I went to CoffeeCup site and checked on my Site in the S-Drive window. All the files appeared to be there (html, images and videos). But I still can't get to the web site. The same "There is Nothing Here Yet" message with the person looking in the mailbox comes up, and I'm again advised to check the Control panel. I re-did the S-Drive sync from the HTML editor to make sure all the files had transferred, and they had. I shut down my computer and re-started to clear any cache, and it still doesn't work. Can anyone please help? Maybe someone at CoffeeCup can look at my S-Drive files and see what may be wrong. Thank you.

To request help from the CoffeeCup team one goes to 'My Support Room', as they do not necessarily look at all posts in these forums.
If the website URL is posted here it may be that someone can suggest what's going wrong. For example, I find that the start of the URL needs to be https:// rather than http:// for browsers to access the occasional items I put on S-Drive.

Robert, a couple of days ago you asked about how to preview your site before actually publishing it, and I suggested that you could make an extra domain or folder for that purpose. If you did that, e.g. with a folder, you need, of course, to take the folder as part of the URL, like https://sitename.coffeecup.com/foldername.
And also, if this is just a cache problem, let us have the URL so that someone else can check if we can see the site.

Robert, I contacted a CC staffer, and it turns out that you have indeed posted to a subfolder. If you are accessing the subfolder and see the same 'Nothing there' message, it may be that you haven't enabled the SSL certificate for the site. You do that by entering the Services through the CC website, then click on Settings and Manage Domains (make sure the domain is selected), and then check the box for Use SSL Certificate. Save and go back out, and wait about 20 minutes for the new settings to propagate.

Inger and Frank,
Thank you for your suggestions. I am now able to see my site on the internet but the images and videos are not showing up. They do fine in the F11 or F12 views froom the html editor, but when I load them from the internet neither the images nor videos show up. I have contacted support for help. Thanks.

Hi All,
Just to put a cap on this thread, I want to let everyone know how it was resolved for me. Thanks to Suzanne, who was both timely and very helpful, the reason I got the "Nothing to See Here" message is that I had capitalized the I in my index.html file, and I also capitalized the folders Images and Videos, in my project in the HTML editor. I know this is a rookie mistake (guilty!), and I will never make it again. I was lured into a false sense of security when the F11 and F12 previews in the editor showed everything loading fine. Plus it always worked when I opened my index.html (actually it was Index.html at that time) file in Chrome. What I didn't know is that caps are handled differently when loading locally vs when loading remotely from S-Drive.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped me. I greatly appreciate the willingness of multiple people to help me in a timely manner. Thank You.
