I want to demo the HTML editor but first, wanted to make sure I could view and edit the files from my server. All the past html editors I've used in the past have been that way so my site and files are set up for that.

I might be wrong (someone correct me if I am), but I don't think, or at least have never found a feature of CC html editor that lets me edit the html code right off the server.
The HTML editor does have the ability to download a web page with it's code. You could modify that code, then upload the page, but that's as close to the feature your looking for as I can think of.
Most web hosting have control panels that lets you edit the code right on the server and then save your changes, so it's not something I ever looked for in an HTML editor.

Just to be sure, why not download the free trial version of the editor, so you can have a look at all the features before deciding on purchasing?
