What the difference between direct ftp and the html editor?

I believe that you already have, or have used Direct FTP, which has some HTML editing facilities, but is primarily for File Transfer. The HTML Editor has massively more HTML etc. editing facilities, which are its primary reason for existing, and some File Transfer facilities.

I think the best way of seeing the difference is to experiment with the free trial of The HTML Editor, which is offered near the foot of this page.

FTP in editor just as good as direct FTP.

But file editing in HTML Editor is MUCH better than in DFTP.
