Just downloaded the HTML editor to test. Added an html file with emojis. Saved in CC Editor. View in browser - no more emojis. Any way to fix this - some setting I need to change? Emojis have been around the web for a long time now.

Hi Steve,
I pasted this code into the html Editor and the emojis shows in my browser preview.
😀
They are probably coded different within the text you saved. Can you give an example?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

The emojis won't work if they are utf-8 because the html editor doesn't support utf-8, even though it has it set in the html as the default encoding and works fine for English. You will need to use special characters, such as in Eric's example.

If you have utf-8 encoded pages that actually have characters dependent upon that encoding, do not save the pages with HTML Editor or those characters will be garbled.

I believe they are UTF8 - work fine in Notepad++
