I would recommend you try and perform a full uninstall and remove all settings and files associated with the Editor. After that, download and install the latest version and see if that helps with the hanging problem.

FYI: I have the same problem with CSS validation hanging up and have to abort the program in the task manager. HTML validation works perfectly. I have repeated exactly the clean uninstall and reinstall process 3x without any luck preventing this hangup. I am using windows 10 Pro and the latest version of the Editor. It is my first "unhappy" moment with any Coffeecup Program and is certainly not a deal breaker as this software is otherwise quite brilliant. If anyone solves this mystery, however, it will clear up this tiny irritant:)

I just experienced this tonight myself, I'm using the latest version of the editor. HTML validation works great, but CSS hung up with the spinning globe. Bummer.

No hanging problem here, but the validator page is always 'Greek to me'. I do speak a couple of languages, but Greek is not among them.

Is anyone with the hanging problems running as admin or has some browser compatability checked? I have nothing on the compatability tab checked, and it works like a dream - in Greek.

Works fine for me with the latest version on Win 10 64 bit.

I have been using another development tool to do my code validations so I haven't tried it lately. Will install latest version and check it out and post my results. I am still on Windows 7 - 64 bit and Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Windows 10 64 bit has been out for quite awhile now. Seems kinda silly to have to run a tried and true program like HTML Editor in compatibility mode just to get my CSS validator to work. But that's what I've had to do. Just sayin...
