HTML Editor - images drag & drop-...

Glad to hear you're getting along with the coding Daniel.
One thing I find helpful when I'm writing articles or text files of any kind that I know will be long and tedious is to write out the text as I want it to be first, and once that's done I then place it into the html file and put the tags in where needed. This helps to keep the flow of your writing going and it's just as easy to add the tags after the fact as it is to do so while writing. Sometime it's actually easier to do it that way :)

hahaha - if M$ can do it - have you seen the garbage code they turn out?

Yeah - i'm a coder

The easy solution would be to learn how to position images correctly in code then wouldnt it?
Have fun

Hi Fe,

thanks for your answer, but it does misinterpret my argumentation below... I ie. admitted that images were more easy than I thought...

Thanks

I like good WYSIWYG web editing. I know people that produced sites which earned a lot of money with Front Page. Some still use it.

Many people want good web sites and don't want to be coders.

They have businesses or hobbies which they want to create sites for fairly quickly. The CC HTML editor is advertised as being suitable for them.

They don't mind learning how to use a program but seeing the Visual Editor available but not usable fully with pages created with the HTML editor is frustrating.

I am sure CoffeeCup is aware of this.

I just had a quick look at what it has to say about HTML Editor 2010 and my interpretation is that its aimed at those comfortable with coding and those that are just starting out on coding as it has lots of easy to use features for the 'rookie" coder.

I didn't see the Visual Editor mentioned at all but may have missed it as I was skimming.

If a WYSIWYG Editor is what you are after then the Visual Site Designer is a better choice.

The program is focused now more on attracting just people that want to code.

But, the presence of an incompatible Visual editor is frustrating. Maybe it should be removed.

I'll wait and see the Manual and other revelations.

Yes I agree ...I would like to see it gone. I don't use it anyway. If I want a WSIWYG editor I go to VSD....which is very rarely.

Just go into the options and select hide visual tab and it is a non-issue. :)
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Pretty sure it starts out that way too doesn't it Tom? I think you have to manually set it to visual to see it to start with, so ya, if you put it with the tab turned on then turn it off and it won't bother you no more.

Yes I think you are correct. I know I didn't even know it existed until I started seeing questions about it in the forums and had a look.

I didn't bother turning mine on as I want to work in the code part and if I want visual editing I use VSD.

I see all the bother it can cause with others so I think it would be better gone since we have VSD anyway.
