Just wondering how to turn off the horizontal and vertical rulers that show in the Visual Editor window.... Probably something simple and obvious, but I can't find a way to make it happen.

Thanks ahead of time!

:)

Go to Tools - Preferences - General tab - right side bottom checkbox you find 'Show rulers in Visual Editor'.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Cheryl,

Please click on Help then click on About and tell us what version you are using, and what build number.

If you are using version 2008 build 223, you should be able to click on Tools, and at the bottom of the window that opens, click on Preferences...

That will give you a new window that opens. There are two columns of selections. The bottom selection is in a group of six items, and the bottom item is the one you want to remove the check mark.

Hope this helps

Ok, it shows that it is Build 223, and there are only 5 items in the bottom of the right hand column.

I'll do a complete uninstall and then install the latest version and see if that makes a difference.

Ok, so it I uninstalled everything and downloaded and installed the lastest version on from the website. It is indeed Build 223, but it only has 5 items on the bottom of the right-hand column - no where on the page is there a check box to turn on or turn off the rulers in the Visual Editor.

Thanks,
Cheryl

Cheryl,

This is what I see:

I don't know why you only have five selections.

Bill,

I don't know why either. Thanks for trying.

Bruce,

This is obviously beyond my understanding. Maybe we can get a CoffeeCup programmer to explain what is happening.
