I know that you shouldn't have spaces in file names, but does it matter if you use hyphens instead of underscores or is it a matter of personal preference?

personal preference.

I usually just make one long word with the first character of each word capitalized for readability. :)

These are just opinion pieces, there is still no research that proves one over the other.
