Tarryn, in what language are you creating your site? And what characters are you typing where those weird symbols are popping up?

There might also be something with the doctype combined with the charset. The best thing would be to upload your site (if you haven't already) and check if this problem also occurs when the site is online. And let us have the URL so that we can be of better help.

I've had some similar problems myself with Norwegian sites.

And which language are you using? Guessing by your name, is it Roumanian?
Have you got the right computer settings for your language?
And keyboard settings?
