I would like to import an existing website and save it as a project in The HTML Editor.. Site was previously created in Dreamweaver. I know how to import html pages but none of the graphics links are maintained.

Your HTML editor appears to be only Windows compatible - do you offer a MAC version?

The HTML Editor is indeed only Windows compatible as shown at https://www.coffeecup.com/html-editor/ which says, 'HTML Editor requires Windows 7 or higher'.

Site Designer is not an HTML editor but produces HTML web sites more easily has both Windows and MAC versions as shown at https://www.coffeecup.com/designer/ which says, 'Site Designer requires Windows 7 or macOS High Sierra (10.13) or newer.'

Yes, I see that now on the page - it was in a tiny font and I had overlooked it. I did realize that the file was a .exe as soon as I clicked on the download and that was what prompted my question.

I am trying to migrate from Dreamweaver to another editor as Adode wants too much money when I only need one or two of their programs - I miss the days of buying Dreamweaver and then using it until you sucked every last bit from it before having to upgrade.

I'm looking at Site Designer, but it is way beyond what I need, which is a somewhat simple WYSIWYG HTML based site editor. I'm happy enough with my ugly old site (since 1996) and my customers put up with it too. I'll dig around Site Designer's manual but it is so different than DW that I just don't want to spend the amount of time needed to let it take over.

Just keep in mind you can't open existing html and css pages in Site Designer. The site would have to be recreated in SD.

Yes that's true, but you can copy paste content like images, text headings paragraphs etc and any custom code. so that can help reduce the time it takes to get a website up and running considerably.

It seems the image links aren't staying intact during the import. Try ensuring the images are in the correct folders and update the paths in your HTML. You might also want to use a site management tool to organize everything properly.
