I know that I am dating myself here, but is there a way to import a web page in the CC software? I know the old MS software used to let you do it.

I used the old visual CC software to program a web site. I am not much of a command line guy, but was able to set up a side by the old drag and drop in the graphical preview mode and it did what I needed. I don't see that available any longer in the new version. Maybe I am overlooking something here.

You don't really import, you simply open the pages through the File Menu > Open

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to the program's Visual Editor. Over the years it had relied on controls that Microsoft had built into Windows but has been gradually discontinuing support for. In order to make the Visual Editor compatible with the new and important HTML5 web standards, we would need to research and develop a new way to program it — precious time that we'd rather devote to refining our beloved code editor.

We feel strongly about using the instant preview options when dealing with code. The split-screen preview shows changes on-screen as you make them, and the external preview can be open at all times in a different window (which is great if you use a second monitor). Try them! We're confident that you'll find these preview options just as useful as working with the visual editor.

Is there a way to import the old cc sites? I had a view of them that I want to update. Do I need to go back to the old coffee cup VSD tool or can I use the updated tool?

Not sure which 'updated tool' you mean. CC has two different site builders now, the HTML Editor and Site Designer.
You can import your pages into HTML Editor ('Editor' for short), but the code created by VSD is so old and past its sell-by date, that I would not do it.

I reckon that the reason why you want to import your pages into something more modern in the first place, is that you want a more modern-looking site. To achieve that, you need to change so much of the old code that creating a new site from scratch will seem a relief.
As to Site Designer (SD), you cannot import existing web pages. But what you can do is create a new layout and copy/paste your old text and images. Not the code or anything 'under the hood', just the contents.

My guess is, that since you built your site with VSD, you may not be so very 'code savvy'. If I'm correct, using SD would be the best way to go. If you get stuck with it, there are many SD users here who may offer you help and advice, you just need to ask.
