I open a files via FTP from my site. When I try to save changes to my server I get DocumentSaveToFile - Unable to save remote file! error and the file is then empty on the server, 0kb in size. Can someone help?

I'm using version 12.9.714 on a Win 7, 64-bit laptop.

Hi Randall,
Have you tried downloading the file and the opening it locally and uploading it after the changes? It may be a permissions issue. Are you sure your ftp settings are correct?

I believe that's is what I am doing. I click on the file under the site name tab (not the Local Disk tab). It asks if I want to replace the file that is on my local machine. I click, Replace and it opens. Then when I click Save, it asks if I want to replace the file on the server. I click, Replace and then I get the message that it is unable to save. When I look at the File Manager in C-Panel it shows the file I just tried to save with 0kb. Opening that page on the website shows a white screen, nothing at all on it.

When I go to File/Upload to Server/FTP Account/Add or Edit Servers... then click Edit, then Test Settings, I get a successful test.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Try right clicking on the file in the local tab and select Upload Selected Files With FTP.
