Not sure if this is already available - I haven't found it yet - but when saving an html doc I have opened from the web site, it doesn't seem to automatically save to my hard drive location too. I have to also do a save as and select the htdocs location on my hard drive. Would like to be able to do one save.

Ideally, if this is not available, it would be nice to see it as an option to turn on or off.

Could the Meta Data Generator page be made sizable. I operate on a laptop where the bottom of the screen is at or below the bottom of the screen so it is impossible to save entries thus rendering the functionality unusable.

Would also like to add a vote for the "Auto Tag Start/End Matching" feature. I use several programming editors (Pascal and C) and this is an essential basic feature. HTML Editor REALLY needs this capability real soon now.

Search inside multiple files for specific code. This is one of the few reasons I still keep Dreamweaver around. I can select a folder or multiple files and do a search for a word or phrase (find next or find all) and it locates the files and instances.

This came up today. I have osCommerce on a site and needed to locate a particular modification I had made. I couldn't remember which file (out of the bazillion it has) contained the mod. I did a search in DW for a phrase that I knew was in the mod and it located the specific file and locations within the file where I had made that mod.

It's not something that I have to use terribly often, but when I need it, it saves an incredible amount of time. It would be great if CCHE had the same feature.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Maybe I don't fully understand the problem here, but I have always used CTRL + f to search. The popup Find window in the editor allows you to select:

1) Current document
2) All open documents
3) Look in folder with option to browse to correct folder
4) Select file types
5) Include all sub-folders
6) Match case of search criteria

You can type in your search criteria or highlight text in an open document to search through folders and files. If you are careful, you can use this for a Find and Replace (CTRL + h). You get a popup window similar to the Find window which only differs in that it has the Replace With field.

That find and the find and replace is one of the heave use features of the product. Recently had to dup some content from a normal web site to a Wordpress site and found that WP does not like HTML comments, find made swift work of removing comments.

Just my 2 cents - nothing technical or earthshaking:
1) Snippet "coffeecup link button" CC url missing close quote:
<a href="http://www.coffeecup.com/ title="CoffeeCup - HTML and Web Design Software">
<img src="http://www.coffeecup.com/images/branding/cup_tile_small.png" alt="CoffeeCup - HTML and Web Design Software" border="0"></a><br />
<span style="font-size: xx-small;">Created with CoffeeCup HTML Editor</span></a>
2) The search field will not let one cut/paste with right click...no problem once I found it will allow "Ctrl V"
3) I really don't mind, in fact, I'm proud to use the CC Link Button on my site...but could the "cup_tile_small.png" be just a wee bit smaller? Say 37x42px instead of 58x65px
4) Find Flight 370

Stefke,
#1 - You can go to Tools > Preferences and add file types there; .js, .asp, .xml, and .xsl are already listed in there.
(I don't know about getting the actual code tags into the left panel)
#2 - Already exists. Go to View > Split-Screen Preview (F-12)
