using html? - Post ID 4404

on this page i have a top section which includes the contact me, join and toledotuners. i believe i want that section as a .html file so i can use it on this other page (www.polishedandwaxed.com/forums)at the top instead of the jpeg that is currently there. how would i do this using either vsd or html editor? the page was created in vsd. thanks

Your forum uses .php pages, not .html, so you would have to make the navigation bit of your page3 into a php include file. How to do that is explained very well here: http://www.pixieplots.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3

Hiya
It looks like it would be easiest to just find the file in your forum that makes the header - open it in the HTML editor - and hack in some code for the two extra links - trying to copy it in from VSD will mean you need all the styles and stuff with it which makes it a lot harder...
Yell if you're not sure how to code hyperlinks

im going to check out the vBullettin forums on how to add my navigation part into it. but turning it into a php inclue file isnt the best way Fe Pixie?
Yes - i would say it's the best way to do it if it was a complicated piece of code you wanted to add - but for just a couple of hyperlinks it's probably much easier to hack them straight in
