Ok, weird question, but it would be really cool.
I was just going over the specifications for HTML4 and 5. I just read that you can use "ismap" in an input form. It didn't give any examples or specify anything but it got me thinking....
Is it possible to combine an image map and a submit form?
Say you had a picture of 2 girls in bikinis at the beach and they are each holding a white blank sign.
Can you make that into an image map where the web visitor could enter their name on one sign and their email on the other?
And then map a coconut on the ground as the submit button?

It would require altering the html and the css to customize it to hide the input outline and so on.

You might be able to finagle a theme change or something to accommodate it also. Make an image you want to be the background of the form basically and you'd have to change that theme's files to do it, but it's probably doable too.

I've spent hours searching on this with very little results. I sure wish I could get an example or something I could play with.

The only way that I know of at this time is to use the images as a background. The issue would be on a responsive form where items move around. However, if you have a form that is completely static, I would think that it shouldn't be too hard to get everything to position right where you want it.

Hmm not sure how it would work, but you might be able to put a background within a container and the form inside that container. You might need to play with the size of the background and/or form to get it to work well when shrunk down on smaller devices (phone really isn't something you should worry about here as the background probably shouldn't show on a phone for the form anyways). Just some food for thought there.

Brian, I thought of that also about a responsive form. Might be difficult to keep things lined up.
But if the picture WAS the form making it bigger and smaller wouldn't be much trouble.
Still wondering if it's even possible.
I like JoAnn's idea also, but it's still not what I was looking for.
I guess I just need to get out the old CC HTML editor and play a while.
If I make any progress at all I will post back here.
