Question: I am using image mapper to create a mapped image. I then insert the HTML code from the image mapper program into the main website HTML. Every time I change the mapped image I am having to copy and paste the map code into the main webpage. Is there anyway to link the image map html to the main page HTML such that I do not have to modify the main page HTML every time I update the image map? Or, is there an easier interface between image mapper and HTML editor ?
They are separate programs that work independently form one another, so you will have to update the html every time you change the image map.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Thanks for the Clarification....
Is the html code all you need for image mapper to work? I ask because I have some other files that I don't recognize, and when I edited my image map and tried to publish it, it no longer worked.
The files in question are in this format: mp36A7.html. I have a buch of these, and maybe I need to replace them somehow?
when I saved the edited image map, I got a message that says it is saved as an empty html file only. What in the world does this mean?

you would need the html code (if pasting on a page) and the image as well together....
Thanks. It helps to know how simple things are when you are diving into a mess in search of a solution. I deleted all of those unknowns, and found that the code in the image map was not pointed in the right direction.
I have a small subdivision plat map that I am using the image mapper to creat sub links for each tax lot that will take the user to a new web page for each lot. When I try to paste the html code to my web site, the code is not being pasted correctly.
Not sure what to do next!

Hi John
would you have a link so the help can see what you mean, and check the code out?

I used Image Mapper on my 'home page', and all is fine, works great! I do have a problem with a second page though. I tried the background image with portions of the image mapped, but this page is a web media player. I can get the player to work but not the links that I mapped, or if I use a separate image that is mapped, I can't get the mapped image and the video player to 'merge', or align the way I want it too. Any gurus out there?
An image map and a media player on the same page do not conflict. If the map worked on another page, it should work on this page if copied correctly.
