Your Name (i.e. John Smith):
E-mail Address (john@myserver.com):
SMTP Username (myemail@myserver.com):
SMTP Password:
SMTP Server (smtp.myprovider.com)
SMTP port:
Everything I've tried has failed.
What is the difference between @myemail & @myserver?
What is the difference between the email address & the SMTP username fields?
I've entered the port reprted by my host. The SMTP protocol is not an email; it is "smtp.mysite.com"
I use startlogic.
On testing with my usual email address & the "accountname" email as the SMTP Username I get: (too much personal info to post - but here is the important thing):
"SMTP Auth Login failed"
If I use the same user email for both I get the same error. If I leave the port setting at the default 25 I get "Could not connect to SMTP Server: Last Error: SMTP Quitting."
What am I doing wrong? I have an email client (Thunderbird) on my PC so I know it's doable.
Oh, and this gets interesting - I need lockbox to get the different passwords & account settings but I can't access it with the email setup window open. So I'm running the USB drive (3.1) also! Hey, it works.
I should have something clever to say... but I don't.
