Hi
I am trying to remove the branded footer from RED. I only want to export the HTML to Web Form Builder. I am trying to set it to none but it says it can't change it unless I log into my mailer account. What mailer account? This is the first time I am using RED. So the other issue is that when I go to export it started out saying I have 3 goes left. So actually now I have 2 goes left. If this is the real limit then I will look for another form program as I plan on managing my own mail-outs once I get going

Thanks for any help/ideas you may have
Raj

Hi Raj,
Try clicking on Campaign Settings and then select the General tab. At the bottom you should be able to change the branded Footer to none.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Did you try entering your Coffeecup account login credentials?

Hi again Eric

Yes I tried that and it doesn't work wither. It needs the account info from the mailer subscription.

Thanks
Raj

I didn't think you needed a paid account to use the app for emails on your own host but the apps main page is saying that.
I know they made changes but that is odd.

looking at the change logs as of version 2 its subscription based. :(

OK Thanks Eric

Well that sucks is all I can say. I don't even want to use it as a mailer. I just want to edit the HTML in a form. As you know the code in the form is just a knotted jumble.

Thanks for your time
Raj

I don't blame you. The people that don't need to use it a lot but still enjoy the ease of design have a hard time justifying the cost.

Hi Raj,

I understand about having a hard time justifying with the cost. I think the developer cost lies in two areas.

1. Gmail, Yahoo mail, Outlook, Thunderbird and other email software each have their own quirks. RED (Responsive Email Designer) has to produce code that works with all of them, so while you design one email, the code generated contains everything needed for all these different email programs.

2. When one of these companies make small tweaks to the way their software reads the html in the email, Coffeecup has to update the code generator for their software and make sure the new changes don't interfere with the way the other email apps display the emails.

That's why they have a subscription. (By the way, I don't work for Coffeecup.)

There is a workaround, btw. Create your email in RED.

1. If you export to html, you can edit the exported code in an HTML editor (Brackets, TextEdit, Notepad, CC HTML Editor, etc.) to remove the branded footer.

2. If you export to Web Form Builder (WFB):
a. Open Settings in WFB and go to Confirmation or Notification (whichever is appropriate).
b. Select the Email from the dropdown.
c. Click the pencil to edit and choose Edit Code. (Do NOT click Edit in Responsive Email Designer.)
d. The html code will appear in the window. You can remove the footer there, or copy/paste to your favorite HTML Editor, make the changes, then copy/paste back to the WFB window.

Hope that helps!

Brian

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Hi Raj,
You will be unable to remove the branded footer with the trial version. The software and service come together for just one price of $129 annually.
Learn the essentials with these tips on Site Designer. You'll be making epic, code-free responsive sites like a boss.
