How can I keep an image centered across a span? Do I have to add constant break points with margin adjustments?

In Scott's picture the settings are a bit difficult to see. Check the attached file, the circled-in details are the important ones.

Just an FYI in case others don't realize this and for Inger. If you open the image that Scott posted by usually right clicking and viewing the image, you can then see the full size image and the settings are much more viewable and easy to read. Hope that helps
I'm so in the habit of not making images larger than I want to display them, for page speed reasons, so I didn't think of that.

This same approach doesn't work when I do it inside a sub-grid

Ok, I see now where I botched it. The default image display isn't block, so I was missing that little piece.
