Hi Scott :) Yes I have that pack I extracted it and its working fine.
From your image above the no-sweat.rlmps are in that pack as well? If so I am sorry for wasting you and your teams time! I have had a look through it but not all of it sorry :(

Still do not understand what you are saying when you say:

"What you have done is uncompressed the .rlmp project file itself. Don't do that. That is why you are seeing a project.json file. That is what is inside of the project file"

Do you mean that I should just rename the .zip to .rlmp?

Cheers
Brett

Don't rename anything. Just uncompressed the layout pack and that is it.

Hi Scott, sorry mate its not the "Layout-Maker-Pro-Template-Pack.zip" that is working fine.
I am talking about the link on the Build your own layout in 9 steps http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … ple-steps/

The project:
Download the ‘No-Sweat’ Template
(Double-click the downloaded file to open in Responsive Layout Maker.)

A little demo of the ‘No-Sweat’ design.

This is the .zip I am referring too :)

I just checked both of those links and both of them function correctly. I download both and they both download and open just fine in RLM.

Do this. Close what ever program you are using for ZIPS and use the Windows Zip file. Let us know how that works. :)

But FYI that is the same layout that is in the Layout Pack. Just use that one as it is working just fine.

Hi Adam :) Thanks for that I have still failed tho :(

I do have a small video up of WHAT I am doing, please check it out and let me know? However I will just use the pro pack ones :)
VIDEO
I am using Windows 7 "extract" to open the zip instead of 7.zip or any other archive software.
I have the same issue with all the "no-sweat" downloads, the other demo files from your site extract as a *.rlmp
I am interested now as to why this particular file does not.

I have cleared my cache, turned off my Anti Virus, also as i have downloaded it on my work PC, which is totally controlled by IT services concerning updates etc it should be all stable.

But had the same result at work a *.json file was produced.

Cheers
BB

The problem here is you are unzipping the rlmp project file. DO NOT DO THAT. ;)

You somehow associated the file extension of .rlmp with ZIP so it is uncompressing the file when you double-click that. Just download the file and that is it. Once you do that, open that file in RLM.

You might want to associate .rlmp files with Responsive Layout Maker so that you do not have the same problem over and over.

LOL Hi again Scott :)

The file downloads as a zip file as per the video.

So I have a no-sweat.zip file as per the video. "The problem here is you are unzipping the rlmp project file."
as per the video there is no rlmp file, its a .zip file.

But thats ok mate I have the rlmp files in the pro pack :) so will mark this as solved :)

The file you are downloading is http://bob.coffeecup.com/storage/tutori … sweat.rlmp which as you can see ends in .rlmp. There is no .zip. Your computer is just treating it as one.

But yes, you can also get it out of the pack too. ;)

Hi Scott :)

I did try it on my Work PC as and with teh same results. I wounder is it is an issue with 7.zip and associations.

I will re download it tonight, change its extension and see what happens. As stated above it is only this file, all the other demo files downloaded normally.
Cheers mate
Brett

Just checked and Yes it is showing as .rlmp on the props, but when I download it it is in .zip format.
I will find a PC without 7.zip and see what happens :P

The other thing you can do is rezip the json file and then rename the .zip to .rlmp this would give you the theme. :)

But yes, something is converting the .rlmp to a zip file. My bet is whatever external zip manager you have installed.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
