I'm trying to design a site and subgrids work well for what I'm trying to do. One thing that is giving me a headache is that when I add a subgrid to a column, the left edge extends beyond the left edge of the column.
Why doesn't it line up? There are no margins or padding on either the column or the subgrid, yet it seems that the subrid is positioned 1px to the left of the column. If I add a left margin of 1px to the subgrid, it lines up with the column, but then it pushes the 2nd subgrid column to the next row which is not what I want.
The troubling thing is that I did a subgrid in the footer row and it doesn't seem to have that problem. The difference is that in the footer, the column is full width. In the one giving me problems, the column is only 9 of the 12 spans available.
I've attached a copy of the RLM project file to look at.
So, my question is: Why doesn't the subgrid line up with the column it's placed in?
Thanks,
Ron
Why do subgirds extend beyond the...
This is because you need to center the Subgrid within the column. To do this select the Subgrid, give it a class, and check the Auto check box on the left and right margin.
I don't know how I missed that. I was selecting the subgrid column instead of the subrid itself and doing that with no effect.
I appreciate your quick and accurate response.
