I have a wholesale and retail store. I have the inventory feature working fine in the retail store but I can't seem to get it to function in the wholesale store. I get an error message when I hit the inventory button saying that the url of my store may be incorrect. Also an error message when I up load my shop .

Can I not use the inventory feature when a shop is password protected?

That is correct. If your shop is protected, you cannot use the inventory feature.
