My shopping cart returning a 500...
I have spent the last two days trying to find out why the link to my shop is returning a 500 Error.
My server says that everything is configured correctly on their end & the error must be in my coding.
My shop links were all working perfectly in Dec 2024, so I backtracked to the old files from that time but am still getting the 500 Error.
Any further suggestions to remedy this would be greatly appreciated.
Link is http://pinewoodpublications.pinewoodrecords.com.au is the title page, then click on the 'Shop' link to get the error.
Everything else is working perfectly.
I really don't want to start over with a new shopping cart if it can be fixed as it had been working perfectly until now.
Thank You.

I've never used Shopping Cart Creator Pro, but, if it hasn't already been done, I would be inclined to test the correctness of the claim by your server by
1. testing the shop page locally on your hard drive using, for, example, XAMP;
2. creating a simple index.php page, perhaps with a message something like "Sorry, we hope to restore this link shortly.", test that page with XAMP locally on your hard drive, and, if it works without error, upload it to the server shop page and see whether it works there.
If the test at item 2 above suggests that the claim is not true, it may be that the problem relates to PHP versions. For example, perhaps the server has turned off support for the PHP version used. I must leave any help regarding that to others who are experienced regarding PHP.

I'm thinking your host has upgraded to PHP V8 and I don't think Shopping cart has been up updated to reflect that. CC has dropped updates on it.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thank you for your reply.
They assure me they've been running Version 8.2 since 2022.
Boy, Frank, that was a learning curve. I'd never heard of Xamp or how to check pages locally. Anyhoo, after much research, several cups of coffee & cigs, I d/loaded Wamp and set about testing. I created a simple index.php page as you suggested. Tested fine locally, so uploaded to my server & voila it worked!!
Tested my original and an error popped:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant "NOPAGE" in C:\wamp64\www\config.inc.php on line 70
( ! ) Error: Undefined constant "NOPAGE" in C:\wamp64\www\config.inc.php on line 70

2 0.0029 450688 require( 'C:\wamp64\www\config.inc.php ) ...\index.php:13
Looking at the config.inc.php file, I'm now defintely out of my depth & need to look for someone more knowledgable than I am.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my original enquiry - much appreciated.

After spending days with no resolution on my 500 error, I decided to check out your theory, even though my server said the upgrade to PHP 8.2 had been done in 2022. Apparantly, this was incorrect. I set it back to 7.4 and everything is working perfectly again.
I shall be having strong words with my server about their inaccurate information & wasting my time, & possibly losing money from my shopping cart not working.
Thanks, Eric, I should have listened to you in the first place!
Thanks, Everyone, for your input. Problem has now been resolved.

Your host will force an upgrade to 8 eventually.
