"inadvertant"...

But I do agree this thread probably should have been a closed thread to all but CC staff....but it wouldn't stop other threads popping up asking the same old questions....and a mute point now.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Thank you for seeing the intended, if ironic, humor. I know that I said some things that will rankle some, but I don't mean to sound like a bitter sourpuss.

Your point about the questions showing up in other threads is the same case that I was making. I can ignore those, if I choose, but I do like to check in on this one for 'official' words

Why would CC staff need this thread? They can just walk into each others office and ask "Is it ready, yet?".
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Nah, this thread is fine, and it really doesn't do anything bad as it's started specifically for checking on the status... but....

What does get on my nerves are the Pro status questions people hijack other threads with, that gets pretty irritating as it seems you can't go in a whole lot of threads right now without there being someone questioning about Pro version in it.... I'm just sick of seeing the questions, this version needs to get released and put me out of my misery! LOL

You're not serious, are you? Of course they don't need it. It was intended to throw us a bone now and then and I liked the original purpose. Short & sweet. Now it's updated several times a day with casual conversation and the things others are complaining about, so I check in anyway, hoping against hope...

Been reading this thread for a while and am asking what's more addictive:

The iPad?
C0caine?
SCP?

I have to admit, after subscribing for a while(and looking at the features of the software), am thinking about upgrading just not to left out, :D.

Hint: two of the above are available, so it must be SCCP -- forbidden fruit, ya know...

I'm addicted to both this thread and a few eBay store threads concerning the economy. Seems like my life has become reactive rather than proactive. I used to be a Lead, follow or get out of the way person, now tired and retired it seems like I'm just waiting for things to happen:
o Too early (cold) to leave for my summer home, possibility of snow in Michigan today
o As our incompetent gov't looks for more taxes, waiting for the other shoe to hit the floor when the US gov't passes a Value Added Tax (VAT), if so, bye bye Internet, hello underground market ya think???
o Waiting for the arrival of dBase VII software package
o And of course for the release of CCSC Pro.

I've had orders from my CC cart but I don't know how anyone can navigate it without sub-directories and a search feature. Pro please.......

Smug wink-wink, nudge-nudge "I know something you don't know..." comments from beta testers come across as 'Nyah, nyah, nyah' to the rest of us who aren't privileged to be part of the process.

CC's beta testing agreement appears to be unlike any that I've participated in, and, in my opinion, is borderline unprofessional. In my experience, there has been a strict non-disclosure agreement that prevents beta testers from making any type of comment relative to the software they're testing in user forums, often to the extent that the identity of beta testers isn't even known.

Actually most of us beta testers haven't had any strict non-disclosure agreements made upon us by Coffeecup. The reason we don't make any specific comments on the features within the pro version is purely because it would be inappropriate for us to comment ahead of any official announcement from the Coffeecup team, that is all.

The beta test team is small, but comes from a diverse range of backgrounds but includes many folks with existing online businesses, so the program has been developed for deployment in real time commercial environments, based on direct feedback from folks that need something that performs reliably in the competitive world of online trading.

All this "I'm desperate for pro" brings a smile to my face when I think of all the powerful open source solutions out there, that people can use in the meantime. Coffeecup is a small commercial enterprise with limited resources and the pro version is just one of many new programs it is developing within finite resources. Personally I think they're a great bunch of people that 'go the extra mile' to keep their customers happy and whilst the pro version will not be suitable for my own specific business needs, I know from using it for testing purposes that they have a sure fire hit on their hands.
