Any news on possible update for...

I am in the process of setting up an online shop for my client and have used the Coffeecup trial.

As Google Checkout is only available in two countries, neither of which is New Zealand, and kiwis haven't really got into Paypal, I am looking forward to the flexibility of off-line payments being offered by Coffeecup's shopping cart software.

For what it's worth, our current on-line "shop" is an html form held on a secure server where our customers can feel safe putting their credit cards through. There are heaps of options available but we use this one: http://www.supersecure.co.nz/

If it was possible to have a link on Shopping Cart to this form, we'd buy the product in a flash.

Any ideas on when this frequently-requested feature will be offered?

Hi Jo, you can add a link in the Shopping Cart.

Go to the long description of the item. Then click on the add URL button and enter your link.

Thanks for replying.

What I mean is that I want the payment type to be a link to our secure server, eg the form calculates the amount due as normal, then instead of clicking Visa/Mastercard as a payment option the shopper would be sent to our own payment site.

Ok, I understand what you want. I think that Coffeecup will have to answer that one. I know that the Shopping Cart is programmed to connect with PayPal, Google, and Authorize using an API.

We have no ETA on when the new payment modules will be ready. Right now we are concentrating on expanding the shipping and tax modules. Most likely the next payment module will be the C.O.D one as that is pretty simple to implement.

We could really use the PayPal Standard option.
Having to use APIs can be a real pain sometimes.

Any way you could 'glean' the code from CubeCart to speed up the inclusion?

Looking at cubecart would not really speed things up any. Our developers are barely sleeping as it is ;)

Hi Doug

It looks like we had a database issue and a release date got changed. There has been no new update since that day.

Thanks for pointing this out.
