I have purchased the authorize.net payment module from CC and have enter the user id and transaction key but receive and error message that authorize.net has not given permission for this module id and key. I talked with support and they say in order for this to happen I have to enter my API login id which I have on file. Where do I find the file that I can enter my API login id. Help will be greatly appreciated. My shop is ready to go but no payment processor which is imperative. I already have PayPal and it is working.

thanks

Hi Scott.....I'm having a slight problem with the Authorize.net payment. When I go to the Authorize.net Payment Page I am presented with Merchant Account Username and Transaction ID Key fields. If you enter that information it is entered in the data.php field. In the shop/ccdata/data/data.php under
$config['AuthorizeNetSIM'] = array( it will list the correct Transaction key entered but the API LOGIN defaults to my Merchant Account Username each time and I have to manually enter my correct API LOGIN number. The problem is each time I make a correction or enter a new product in my SCC it reverts back to my Merchant Account Username in the API LOGIN field at $config['AuthorizeNetSIM'] = array( . I have to go back to Authorize.net and enable a new transaction key and go through the whole thing all over. Is there not a way to have on the Payment Page for Authorize.net another field for the API LOGIN.to eliminate all this or is there another way I am not aware of.

Thanks

What changed Bill since the last time when you said everything was working? Also, why are you manually editing the scripts? You enter in this information inside of Shopping Cart Creator.

Adding products has nothing to do with the Authorize.net API. Once you add it to SCC, you never touch it again.

Where is right place to enter the API

The only place I have found to enter the API LOGIN is in the data.php field and that is what I do and each time I enter another new product and upload it and try to checkout from Authorize.net I receive error messages from Authorize.net that permission is not granted and I have to go back to data.php and find that the LOGIN reverts back to my authorize.net username instead of my API LOGIN number and that is the reason for the error message until I manually correct it to my API LOGIN number.

Sorry, but you are doing it all wrong. ;) All you need to do is follow these instructions and everything will work. Once you add the API data, you never need to touch it again. Also make sure you account is not set to testing inside of Authorize.net

And never update the scripts manually. That will cause all sorts of issues... ;)
