Can't add a new product - Post ID 120148

When you tell me what i am doing wrong, i KNOW i am going to feel like an idiot:) but i can't add a new product. The only way an empty dotted line box appears is when i close shop and re-open it or restart the program. I have a few products under the category already.

I just downloaded SCC, so it is the latest version

Did you click on a category first? If no category is selected, the "Add Product" will be shaded out.

Yes, nothing happened.

I did change the 'Create New Products and Categories" to automatic..... I just changed it to Manual and that solved the problem. What does automatic do?

Automatic will auto generate a new product after completing the first one. Manual is basically that, you have to manually click "Add" each time.

Another Tip for adding a new product George, is to copy and paste one of the already created products. This is great if the information and settings in the copied product were already setup, then you don't have to reset all these things.

This also works to duplicate products just for the settings like the Optional Fields and such. I don't think I've ever created a new product that wasn't a copy of another one so I wouldn't have to do all the settings each time :)

I download a trail of shopping cart and would like to have a copy of user guide so that I can learn more the app. does any one know where i can find a copy?
