No matter how I configure server, won't complete the publish.
Have exported and FTPd files to host server.
When attempting publishing, after several files rush past, get error message:
"Error while uploading
Finished Uploading, please try again"
Can see the store and insert items, but unable to change numerical quantity, either in item or in cart.

Click on top menu...coming events, then carve-in"
Thanks in advance,
Jerry

I can't see a top menu.
Try uploading after pausing your virus protection.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
Thanks, I believe I did disable Trend Micro. You must be using Firefox? This has been a persistent problem with that browser.
IE will yeild a top menu.

Yes I generally use Fire Fox and only test web sites in IE. Even in IE7 it took a good minute for the top menu to appear and even then only the top half., and in the drop down menus the bottom categories are being chopped off.
Firefox users could be anywhere from 20-60% of your users so you can't ignore us.
With respect to changing the quantity you have probably chosen or have as default one item available. You can change that in shopping cart creator on the right hand side when editing the item.

Thanks, I do that. I also prefer Firefox and hoped to address this problem once I mastered FSD and Flash sufficiently to the the site additions made.
When I publish, as I said, I receive these error messages:
"Error while uploading
Finished Uploading, please try again"
Is "exporting" in VSD the same as publishing and because I can manipulate the cart, I was successfull, aferall?

No exporting and uploading are different. If you choose upload it will directly upload through the shopping cart's upload feature. If you choose export it puts the files in a folder ready to upload via another FTP program.
With the shopping cart its much safer to use upload wherever possible as it will upload all the files you need automatically as well as check for any changes since your last upload and then upload changes.
But yes the shopping cart seems to be functioning, but if you have more than one of each item you will need to go back to shopping cart and change the amount available in there.
Have a look and if you can't find where that option is give a yell and I'll go look and give you step by step instructions.

Looks fine to me in FF 3.6.3 but then something tells me that whatever that above is "supposed" to be it isn't right. I tried changing the backslash to a forwardslash but that didn't fix it. Removing the trailing forwardslash didn't fix it either. This is the link that is connected with your logo. Don't know if this is the problem you're talking about or if I just found another issue

The shop looks ok to me in Firefox 3.6.3 and IE 8.0.6001.nnnn. The logo is squished, which happens because Shopping Cart Creator is limited in the way it displays logo images. (This can be dealt with in Shopping Cart Designer Pro.)
I believe the reason that you can't change the quantity is because you probably have selected "Use default quantity" set to 1 on the Product Detail - More Options tab.
Try setting it to one of the other two options and see if this fixes your quantity problem. I've attached a screen shot of one of my cart setups, where I allow the buyer to specify a number to purchase.

Tassietiger pointed me to the "let user change quantity"option in Shopping Cart Creator.
I still can not complete a "publish" no matter how I set the server settings. It does rush several files past and the green progress bar progresses, but then it throws:
"Error while uploading
Finished Uploading, please try again"
So I don't know whether it "published"or not, not knowing what I should have.
The logo isn't too worry some; I can redesign the jpg.
The other problem is the inability to predict where the Flash Firestarter HTML box for the flash photos will appear. I'd like to center it on the black square. All the movie and graphics sizes are proportioned to be about 15 pixels clearance on each side, but it seems to land anywhere it wants. I've posted this in VSD, but so far, not a peep.
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry, when I have received that error in the past it was because I was uploading to the wrong file location.
